Reporters Without Borders (RSF) Germany offers journalists working in war zones and crisis areas a four-month stay in Berlin to complete a training programme in digital security with the Berlin Scholarship Programme.

Reporters Without Borders (RSF) Germany is offering ten journalists from war zones and crisis areas the opportunity to take a four-month break in Berlin to complete a training programme in digital security with the Berlin Scholarship Programme: Empowering Journalists in the Digital Field. Funded by the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy, and Public Enterprises, the programme aims to provide participants with practical knowledge and skills to protect themselves against digital threats such as surveillance or hacker attacks in their journalistic activities.

The fellowship takes care of all travel costs, visa-related matters, accommodation, a monthly allowance, and provides free public transport in Berlin for four months. Participants will complete a digital security training programme and develop their own to pass on to fellow journalists in their home countries. The programme runs from April 2023 to November 2023.
